Ensure Your Food Defense Plan Meets GFSI Standards and FSMA

Food facilities are obligated to keep the public safe from health risks and intentional adulteration vulnerabilities through assessment and mitigation strategies. AIB International’s Intentional Adulteration Assessment will assess your Food Defense Plan and identify potential gaps to help you meet the requirements of the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

This one-day assessment will provide you with an unbiased and thorough review of your facility’s plan, identifying gaps in application and execution, ensuring that it is well-developed and effectively executed.

How the Process Works

1. Our Food Safety Professional will review your Food Defense Plan to identify gaps that help you meet FDA requirements, while determining how effectively that plan is executed in real-time on the plant floor.
2. This review includes an assessment of your food defense policy and team, intentional adulteration vulnerability assessment and methods to conduct it, personnel understanding and application of your plan, intentional adulteration mitigation plan, and a review of documentation relating to the Food Defense Plan.
3. Following completion of the assessment, you will be provided a thorough written report that includes a program review and suggested corrective actions.

This assessment will provide you and your team confidence that your plan is compliant with FSMA, while meeting your obligation to ensure food safety. This assessment also can be added to your GMP Inspection or other inspection and consulting services.
