This 8-hour virtual course is ideal for those audited under the BRCGS Food Safety Issue 8 Standard or transitioning to Issue 9. Through discussions and exercises, it enhances understanding of BRC Global Standards, which are internationally recognized for ensuring product safety and quality. The course supports compliance with FSMA and EU regulations, increasing customer confidence and facilitating trade.

  • The criticality of Food Safety Culture
  • The role of senior management
  • The impact of attitudes and behaviors
  • Developing your own Product Safety Culture Plan
  • Understand the changes to existing requirements
  • Show that your facility fulfills each clause of the BRCGS Global Standards requirements
  • Recognize the changes to the protocol of the standard
  • Know what to expect from the Food Safety Issue 9 audit

Upon completion, you’ll be awarded a certificate from BRCGS.

In preparation for the course, participants must:

  • Read and review a copy of the Standard including the glossary, which is available as a free download from the BRCGS Store.
  • Have previous knowledge of quality management systems and auditing within the relevant manufacturing sector.
  • Understand HACCP principles and the basics of implementing a critical control program. Consider taking HACCP Online if you’re lacking this experience.
