If you have a question about implementing or interpreting the 2027 AIB International Consolidated Standards, one direct conversation with an expert can help provide clarity.

Book a private, one-hour virtual session with an AIB International Expert. Your consultant will explain the applicable requirement, discuss your question and help you better understand the considerations for your facility.

This service is intended for focused questions about the 2027 Standards. It does not include comprehensive program reviews, program development or food safety program writing.

The session is intended for food safety, quality, operations and facility professionals who need expert input on a clearly defined question regarding the updated standards.

This session may be a good fit if:

  • You need help understanding a specific 2027 requirement
  • You have questions about new or updated language in the Standards
  • You want to discuss how a particular requirement may apply to a defined situation at your facility
  • You need clarification about what an inspector may evaluate under a specific requirement
  • You have a short list of closely related questions about one area of the Standards
  • You want to identify considerations and potential next steps related to a specific requirement

What can you discuss? To get the greatest value from your session, bring one clearly defined question or a short list of related questions about a specific requirement within the 2027 Consolidated Standards.

Example questions include:

  • What do the updated risk-rating definitions mean for multiple observations under the same requirement?
  • What written procedures are expected when using electronically monitored pest-management devices?
  • What factors should be considered when establishing cleaning frequencies for a specific piece of equipment?
  • What additional cleaning measures may be appropriate for one identified high-risk processing area?
  • What training documentation is expected for an employee with a defined HACCP, preventive-controls or food-defense responsibility?
  • What does the updated requirement say about wearable technology and other personal-item exceptions?
  • What identification or segregation controls are described for nonconforming materials?
  • How will repeat Serious findings be addressed beginning in 2028?

What is a 1-Hour Expert Session?

It is a private, one-hour virtual session with an AIB International expert. The service provides focused guidance on clearly defined questions about specific requirements within the 2027 AIB International Consolidated Standards.

Who is this service for?

Your session must focus on questions related to specific requirements within the 2027 Consolidated Standards. For example, you might ask how a new requirement should be interpreted, what criteria an inspector may evaluate or what factors your facility should consider when determining its approach.

What topics can we discuss?

Topics may include AIB International standards, findings, corrective actions, prerequisite programs, inspection readiness and other food safety implementation questions. Providing a focused topic will help your expert use the hour effectively.

Can the expert review our food safety program?

No, a comprehensive program review is not included. You may reference a relevant policy, procedure or example to provide context for your question, but the expert will not evaluate or approve an entire program during the session.

Can the expert tell us whether our facility complies with the Standards?

The expert can clarify requirements and discuss relevant considerations, but the session does not constitute an inspection, audit or formal compliance determination.

Who will conduct the session?

Your session will be conducted by an AIB International by an expert in the 2027 Consolidated Standards.

Is the session held virtually?

Yes. The session is conducted virtually over Microsoft Teams and is available by appointment.

How long is the session?

Each appointment includes one hour with an AIB International expert.

How should I prepare?

Prepare a short description of your situation and prioritize the questions you want answered. Having specific examples or requirements available can help keep the discussion focused.

Can the expert solve more than one issue during the session?

Yes, if the questions are closely related and concern a focused area of the Standards. How many questions can be addressed will depend on their complexity. For the greatest value, prioritize one primary question.

If your team needs a broader review across multiple requirements or operational areas, consider our One-Day Onsite Awareness Training. During this full-day session, an AIB International specialist will help your team evaluate its readiness and better understand how the 2027 requirements apply to your facility.

Will the session guarantee a particular inspection or audit result?

No. The session provides expert guidance based on the information discussed, but it does not guarantee an inspection, audit or certification outcome.

Is this the same as a full consulting engagement?

No. A 1-Hour Expert Session is best for focused questions and clearly defined challenges. Broader projects, extensive assessments or ongoing implementation support may require additional consulting services.
