New microlearning program provides food and beverage professionals with practical, self-paced education in foundational food safety practices at no cost.
MANHATTAN, Kan. — [DATE] — AIB Education & Research today announced the launch of its Food Safety Fundamentals Program, a new collection of free, self-paced microlearning courses designed to make foundational food safety education more accessible to professionals and businesses across the food and beverage industry.
The program includes five 30-minute online courses, divided into shorter 5- to 10-minute modules that allow learners to build their knowledge at their own pace. The content combines practical instruction, select video content, and insights from industry experts to help make complex food safety concepts easier to understand and apply.
At AIB Education & Research, advancing food safety across the industry starts with access. Foundational knowledge should not be limited by the size of an organization or the resources it has available. The Food Safety Fundamentals Program gives more people an opportunity to develop essential food safety knowledge and apply it within their facilities and organizations.
The program is part of AIB International's nonprofit efforts to expand access to expert-led education, practical resources, and independent research across the food and beverage industry. This includes supporting small and mid-sized manufacturers and food industry professionals who may have limited access to dedicated food safety training resources.
By providing complimentary educational tools, AIB Education & Research aims to help organizations strengthen food safety practices, support compliance efforts, reduce risk, and ultimately contribute to protecting public health.
The Food Safety Fundamentals Program is designed both for individuals beginning their food safety education and for experienced professionals looking to refresh foundational concepts. Because the courses are self-paced and delivered online, learners can complete them around their existing work responsibilities.
Participants who complete all five courses and successfully pass the associated evaluation quizzes will also earn a free digital Food Safety Fundamentals badge, issued through Credly. The badge provides learners with a shareable credential recognizing their completion of the program and understanding of foundational food safety practices.
Food safety is everyone’s responsibility. By expanding access to practical tools and education, AIB Education & Research is helping more businesses strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of their teams and contribute to a safer food supply.
The Food Safety Fundamentals Program is available at no cost through AIB Education & Research.
